Kerasotes Theaters

Vegter Excavating was hired as a subcontractor to perform all the foundation excavating, backfilling, and parking lot grading for a new movie theater complex located adjacent to the Golf Mill Center shopping mall in Niles, Illinois. 

The new building will house 12 separate theaters each equipped with tiered seating and masonry block walls for soundproofing. 

Extensive excavation was required throughout the interior areas of the building for the construction of the walls for each theater.  Additionally, the subgrade required careful grading and preparation to construct the tiered seating at each of the twelve locations.
